Norwegian Financial Mechanism

The Norwegian Financial Mechanism contributes to the reduction of economic and social disparities in the European Economic Area and strengthens bilateral relations between Norway and the Beneficiary States. From 2014 to 2021, in the framework of Norwegian Financial Mechanism, Norway has made1.3 billion EUR  available to Beneficiary States. In this period, the Republic of Croatia will receive 103.4 million EUR. More information is available at eeagrants.hr.
 
The Justice and Home Affairs Programme is implemented under the framework of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 in the Republic of Croatia. The Programme is operated by the Ministry of Justice with the support of the Norwegian Courts Administra­tion as the Donor Programme Partner and the Council of Europe as the International Part­ner Organisation. The Programme benefits from 15 million EUR grant from Norway, while 2.64 million EUR is co-financed by the Republic of Croatia.125,000 EUR is allocated from the Fund for Bilateral Relations.
The aim of the Programme is to strengthen the rule of law. The Programme shall consist of four projects that will be implemented by the Ministry of Justice and Administration in cooperation with Norwegian and Croatian partners and the Council of Europe.
