Official visit of Armenian Minister of Justice Karen Andreasyan

On Monday, September 5, Minister of Justice and Public Administration Ivan Malenica met with Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Karen Andreasyan, who paid an official visit to Croatia.

Minister Malenica expressed satisfaction with the Armenian side's interest in the sharing of knowledge, experiences and practices in the areas of judicial reform and organisation, digitalisation and modernisation of the judiciary, prison and probation system and anti-corruption. He also emphasized the good bilateral cooperation between Croatia and Armenia so far, which has resulted in Croatia's support in the negotiations for the Agreement on cooperation between the European Union Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation (EUROJUST) and Armenia upon the request of the Armenian side.
 
In conclusion, both sides expressed readiness for a further transfer of knowledge, experiences and practices in all the areas of interest that will contribute to strengthening future bilateral co-operation between the ministries of the two countries.
 
During their stay, the representatives of the Armenian delegation held working meetings with the representatives of the Directorate for Organisation of the Judiciary, the Directorate for European Affairs, International and Judicial Cooperation and Anti-Corruption, the Directorate for Prison System and Probation and the Independent Sector for Digitalisation of Justice and Public Administration. The delegation also visited the Land Registry Department of the Municipal Civil Court in Zagreb, accompanied by the representatives of the Directorate for Civil, Commercial and Administrative Law.
