In the afternoon of 25 October, prisoner H.K. committed suicide in the Lepoglava Penitentiary. 

Officers of the Lepoglava Penitentiary called an ambulance, and the prisoner subsequently passed away in the vehicle.

The circumstances of the event are yet to be established. The Lepoglava Penitentiary has duly informed the competent authorities.

The Directorate for Prison System and Probation is going to conduct an emergency inspection and the public will be informed of the established circumstances in due time.
