Further development of cooperation between prison and probation systems – meetings in Trakošćan

Under the project „Strengthening human rights protection and public safety by improving the capacities of the Croatian probation service“, activity "Strengthening cooperation between prison system and probation", the fourth meeting of heads of probation offices and heads of correctional treatment departments in penal institutions was held in Trakošćan on 18 January 2023.

The meeting was opened by acting Director General Zvonimir Penić, who highlighted the importance of developing cooperation between the prison system and the probation system. The meeting included a discussion on the legislative provisions enabling cooperation, importance of probation activities in the field of cooperation of both systems, and a recapitulation of the topics and conclusions of the previous meetings. 

On the same day, a meeting of the working group for cooperation between the prison system and the probation system took place, where the representatives of both systems reviewed the past and future cooperation activities.
