Second workshop on “Exchange of experiences and examples of good practice in cooperation with the probation service”

On 4 May 2023, the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration delivered the second regional workshop for municipal court judges and the municipal state attorney's offices, organised by the Ministry's Probation Sector. 

The workshops are organised under the project "Strengthening human rights protection and public safety by improving the capacities of the Croatian probation service", financed under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021. Through presentations and an open discussion, probation officers, judges and state attorneys exchanged experiences with regard to the execution of alternative prison sentences. By analyzing examples from practice and previous cooperation, they presented proposals for improving future cooperation. Judge Marija Balenović from the High Criminal Court in Zagreb and Judge Dijana Rizvić from the Municipal Criminal Court in Zagreb spoke about their experience of cooperation with the probation service.
All participants contributed to the quality of the workshop with their active participation and expressed their satisfaction with the workshop as a way to exchange experiences.
