Team building of central prison and probation offices
On 12 May 2023, employees of the Central Offices of the prison and probation system participated in a team building event.
As an integral part of the project “Strengthening human rights protection and public safety by improving the capacities of the Croatian probation service”, and under the activity “Cooperation betwen prison system and probation system”, a team building was held in Markuševec Turopoljski on 12 May 2023, attended by 8 officers from the Central Office of the Prison System and 6 officers from the Central Office of the Probation System as well as Acting Director General for the Prison System and Probation Zvonimir Penić and senior adviser-specialist in the Directorate Jure Žulj.
The Central Offices of the prison and probation system have a complex task of planning and coordinating the functions of both systems related to the resocialisation and social reintegration of offenders, especially during and after the execution of prison and probation sentences. The team building enabled the officers to get to know each other better and contributed to a positive motivation for common professional challenges. The importance of cooperation between the prison and the probation system was demonstrated through the participation of the Acting Director General and a senior adviser-specialist in the Directorate.
The participants assessed the team building as necessary and useful, while emphasising the necessity of continuing this form of joint work and socialising.
