Handover of vehicles to probation offices

 

Four vehicles have been procured for two newly established probation offices (in Vukovar and Gospić), the Central Office for Probation and the Electronic Surveillance Division.

The vehicles were financed under the project “Strengthening human rights protection and public safety by improving the capacities of the Croatian probation service”, co-financed under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021. 

Quality performance of probation officers inevitably includes frequent work on the ground, direct contact with offenders in their homes or with their family members. An official vehicle is therefore necessary work equipment for probation officers. 

On behalf of the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration, Minister Ivan Malenica officially handed over the vehicles to Ms Iverija Filipović, Head of Gospić Probation Office, Ms Koraljka Novak Lozina, Head of Vukovar Probation Office, Ms Vesna Zelić Ferenčić, Head of Zagreb II Probation Office, and, on behalf of the Electronic Surveillance Division, Mr Goran Brkić, Head of Probation Sector.
